Sequoits Survive Mud, Panthers

Antioch varsity football ended the 2009 campaign with a victory in the mud at Round Lake Friday night by a score of 20-14. The star of the night was Steve Lorenzini who set the school record for rushing yards in a career in Steve Lorenzini fashion. The Antioch fullback ended the night with mud in his facemask, an unrecognizable jersey, and a new record that will stand for quite some time. Vinnie Holm and Josh Guadarrama joined Lorenzini as TD rushers in the contest. Senior Brandon Mertes made his last game a memorable one grabbing his first career interception in the 2nd quarter. Antioch ends the season with a 5-4 overall record.
