Sequoits Beat Grant
The girls showed a lots of poise and determination by coming back from a 0-8 deficit in the second set last night to win 29-27. This win improved our record to 12-7 and 3-1 in the conference.
We easily controlled the first set last night with Lauren Grant and Erica Lubkeman getting numerous kills from the outside. It was our best serving match of the season going 52/54 (96%) with 5 aces.
Offensive leaders for the night were Erica 7 kills, Lauren 5 kills, Brianna Grant 4 kills, Jessica Ploss 3 kills, Kendall Padgett 10 assists, Savana Bailey 9 assists.
Defensively Lauren Grant led the way with 13 digs 18/18 serve receive attempts, Amber Dalgaard had 11 digs and 15/15 serve receive attempts, Erica 7 digs and 6/6 serve receive attempts.
Savana led the way serving going 13/13 with 3 aces, Erica 11/11, Lauren 9/9, Brianna 7/7 1 ace, Amber 6/7 1 ace and Kendall 6/7.
We play at Lake Forest Academy tonight and at North Chicago on Friday. Wednesday 10/14 will be pack the gym night against Wauconda. This will be a big match for us and could decide the Division Championship, come out and support us.
