Game Summary:
MAROONS 15th place
Runnin' Red Invitational

"Maroons Tough It Out In Wet And Soggy Condition"

After two days of steady rains the course at Metamora was soggy, muddy and still very wet, but the Maroons stayed on course and made the best out the race.  The top Runner for the Maroons was Kain Shirley, the freshman from Franklin Middle School, who ran a time of 16:58 on the 2.94 mile course.  Following Kain was Alex Goodlad, with a time of 17:09 and as usual the rest of the Maroons were very close behind.  Picchietti running a 17:13, Dan Coleman came in with a 17:27 and senior Kendrith Rowland finish with a time of 17:41.  Coach Johnson feels that if the team continues to run in a little tighter pack they would have a very good chance of being in the top three at conference.  Good luck to the Maroons as they prepare for the Big 12 Conference championships next Saturday.  The feeling in the Maroons camp is that they have a great chance to bring home the gold.

Argie Johnson
