Game Summary:
TIGERS 27-25, 25-22
Woodstock

Roller Coaster of a Season!

The Tigers have had their share of ups and downs this season.  Tonight would be no different as they faced Woodstock in the final night of conference competition.  Coming out in game one, the Tigers appeared sluggish, but fought point for point winning a close one 27-25.  In game two, it appeared that the story might be over as Woodstock jumped out to a commanding 6-1 lead.  Still trailing 12-15, the Tigers were looking for some much needed energy in defensive specialist Chelsea Grochocki as she went back to serve.  Chelsea didn't let her teammates down and served five consecutive points to give the Tigers the lead for the first time 17-15.  It turns out that was just the shot of energy the team needed!  Sam Babincsak then put down three late kills on overpasses to help out the Tigers.  Holding on to a one point lead, the Tigers lost the ball at 23-21 to allow Woodstock to score making the score close at 23-22.  The Tigers put their foot down, including right side hitter Erin Bartels as they said "No more, let's finish this!"  Scoring again, the Tigers now had a 24-22 lead, and Erin was bound and determined to finish the game.  Serving game point serve, Erin tried to fool Woodstock with a short serve, but it didn't quite work out as planned.  They returned the ball back to the Tigers.  Erin wasn't going to let that happen.  With a tremendous dig in right back, Erin assisted on the game winning kill by outside hitter Dani Minogue.

The sophomore Tigers finished their season 8-4 in FVC play and 18-11 overall.  Way to go Tigers!  Great season!
