Lakes cruises past Woodstock North, 8-1
Woodstock North didn't put up much of a fight on Monday, as Lakes cruised to a blowout 8-1 win in seven innings.
Lakes scored three runs in the sixth on , a walk by Jessica Bruggen, and an RBI single by Meghan Milewski.
Cassidy Schaar racked up three RBIs on three hits for Lakes. Schaar singled in the first, third, and sixth innings.
Taylor Dishinger handled Woodstock North's lineup with ease, racking up 12 strikeouts. Lakes' pitcher allowed one earned run on six hits and two walks over seven innings.
Brie Romine had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. Romine doubled in the first and fifth innings.
Sara Braden, Kaela Bryant, Dishinger, Montana Mang, Megan Massie, Schaar, Milewski, and Kste Hohenstatt each got hits for Lakes. Milewski led the team with three hits.
The game was never in doubt after the first, as Lakes scored three runs on a sacrifice fly by Jamie Dykstra and two singles.
