Lakes takes Boys CC Regional on Saturday for a sweep of regional action by the Eagles
The Lakes Boys Cross-Country team made school history, as they won the Antioch Regional meet for the first time in the young 5 years. These young men have been given the opportunity to experience this great accomplishment and they did this as a team effort.
Leading the way was fr-Ryan Prais as he finished 2nd and earning an 'All-Regional honor", also earning an 'All-Regional honor', for the second year in a row was jr-Blake Franson as he finished 4th. Also finishing in the top 10 were jr-Danny McGrath in 8th and sr-Kyle Whtie in 9th. Also finishing in 20th and rising up to be the number 5 runner was sr-Grant Franson and finishing right behind him in 21st was jr-David Kosman. Having a rough day due to some illness was soph-Josh Camp finishing in 25th.
The Lakes Eagles have there eye on qualifying for the state meet as the compete in the toughest 2A sectionals in the state on Saturdya Oct. 31 at Belvidere. If they put it together, they have a shot. Top 5 teams and next 7 individuals not on those teams qualify for the state meet in Peoria on Nov. 7.
