Lions Volleyball SeasonComes to Close
The Lisle girls volleyball team had an excellent season putting together 21 wins against 14 losses in a very challenging schedule. There was a first place finish at the Rochelle tournament and a 7-3 conference record, but none of that could help them get started Thursday night at home against a defensive minded Timothy Christian team. After coming out a little "nervey" and dropping the first set 25-21, the girls regrouped just in time to steal an exciting second set 26-24 and head to the deciding game with a little momentum. Mis-communications and service errors seemed to disrupt the Lions and the game slipped away to the visitors 25-20. Seniors Colleen Drennan, Jackie Todd, Chelsea Peterson, Brianna Larson, Kelly O'Connell, and Jordan Biechler have accomplished many things in their volleyball careers and will be greatly missed. The young Lions have grown tremendously over the course of the season, will return many excellent players, and look forward to continuing the fight next year. Congratulations girls on a great season.
