Quality abounds in this league

Outlook: Timothy Christian will have its work cut out for it as it tries to defend its conference title. Seniors John Huizinga (8-point average) and Chad Woldman will be mostly responsible for equaling last season's 24-5 record. It won't be easy: Last season the Private League had four 20-win teams. Rockford Christian Life, Chicago Christian and Illiana Christian will all fight Timothy for that top spot. Illiana returns three key seniors from last season's regional championship team, two of them being 6-0 point guard Keelan Jackson and 6-5 Wade Kapteyan. Rockford Christian Life (24-8 last season) and Chicago Christian (21-8) aren't to be overlooked either. Chicago Christian's sharpshooter, 6-4 senior Kenny Black (17-point average, 96 three-pointers), will lead the Knights. Rockford Christian Life will depend on returning all-conference star, 6-3 Nate Winger (15 points, 7 rebounds).
