Experienced Seneca favorite
Outlook: Seneca will be formidable again with three players who averaged in double figures back from last year's 32-2 team that took third in Class A. Standout guard Garrett Callahan leads the way, joined by brother Griffan, a 6-4 junior, and 6-7 forward Robert Rexroade. "We know it will be tough to run the table again," said Seneca coach Doug Evans. Guard Tyler Smith is working his way into playing shape after recovering from a broken leg. Plano has three returning starters from its regional championship team plus 6-2 junior Obina Agomo, a promising transfer from Lake Park. Scoring may be a question mark for Lisle, but not defense or ballhandling with point guard Shamon Cherry back from last year's 25-7 squad. Reed-Custer could make it into the top half of the conference. Sandwich and Coal City are optimistic about .500 seasons with several key players back.
