The Wildcat track and field team had a great day, especially the girls team, as they finished tied for 3rd overall out of the 18 participating teams. The team had a number of great performances, lead by freshmen Ariel Allen who placed in both the 100m and 200m dashes and helped the 400m relay team to a 2nd place and the 800m relay team to 1st place. Ariel Shumaker threw a personal best in the discus, throwing over 100 feet for the first time ever to take 1st. She also finished 2nd in the shot put. Olivia Anton placed in both hurdle events and Natalie Mendez finished 4th in the 400m dash. For the boys, Tyler Kesner won the 800m run with an outstanding finishing kick. Jessie Sobecki: 7 strikeouts in picking up the win. Kaylin Roberts had 3 hits, scored 3 runs, and had 2 RBIS. Caitlyn Wheeler had 2 hits, scored 4 runs, and had 3 RBIS. Every girl scored a run and drove in a run.
