Alex Alcantara was recognized at the IHSA All-State Academic Banquet in Bloomington on Monday night, April 15. Alex was honored as one of 26 seniors (13 boys and 13 girls) to receive this distinction throughout the state of Illinois. He was accompanied on Monday night by his parents as well as Dan Hardwick, Director of Athletics and Jesse Pierce, Assistant Athletic Director. The program consisted of excerpts from each student-athletes' interviews with all recipients receiving a $1,000 college scholarship provided by Caterpillar. Alex is the first student in St. Francis High School history to receive this honor! Congratulations Alex! |
