Chargers, Steelmen Battle to PK's at Toyota Park
After 80 minutes of exciting, quality soccer followed by 2 five-minute overtimes, the Chargers and the Joliet Steelmen were still tied at 3-3. It was not meant to be as the Chargers lost 5-4 in PK's. Tom Lojek had the hat trick helping the Chargers come back from a 2-1 deficit. Leading 3-2 with less than 7 minutes left, the Steelmen netted the equalizer to force overtime. Despite losing their 2nd PK shootout in one week's time, the Chargers will look to return to their winning ways Thursday @ Lincoln Way North to open up SWSC Conference play. The soccer coaching staff and players would like to thank all of our fans who came out to cheer us on in one of the most memorable matches in Stagg soccer history.
